Advance Notice: aelf v1.12.0 Upgrade

We are thrilled to announce that an upgrade to aelf v1.12.0 is on schedule and will be carried out at 10:00 AM on 25 December 2024 (GMT). The upgrade is estimated to take placeat the block height of about 248832789 on the aelf MainChain and 236120873 on the aelf dAppChain, and it will be completed before 1 January 2025.

Below are the details of this upgrade:

Add a new type, MultiTransaction, to enable simultaneous transfers to multiple target chains on aelf, simplifying cross-chain transfers and similar business scenarios for users and dApps. (Check out the details of the pull requests here)

Introduce a new API, /api/blockChain/transactionResultV2. For transactions that have not been included in a block and have expired, the StatusWithBVP field will indicate "EXPIRED", signalling that the transaction can no longer be successfully processed.
Introduce a new API, /api/contract/estimateMethodFee, to provide the estimated gas fee, regardless of the transaction's success.
Inline transactions generated by cross-contract calls can be cross-chain indexed, facilitating subsequent business processing. (Check out the details of the pull requests here)

Once aelf v1.12.0 is released, all the block producers and full nodes will be required to upgrade to the latest version or its mirror.
