aelf Recovery Update: Key Services Are Back Online

aelf Recovery Update: Key Services Are Back Online
Status: Service recovery progressing

Find out which services are back online, the latest on exchange deposits and withdrawals, and how the network pause affected staking rewards.

Dear aelf Community,

Since our August 26 incident response update, public full-node access and several ecosystem services have been restored. You can now use the aelf explorer, make transfers through FairyVault, trade on Awaken, browse NFT collections on Forest, and access the staking interface on TMRW DAO.

We recognise the disruption this has caused and thank the community for its patience throughout the recovery process.

Progress since our last blog update

All Block Producers (BPs) resumed block production in the isolated recovery environment, and replacement of the old BP addresses was completed. Functional testing of the upgraded nodes was also completed.

Public full-node services were subsequently restored. The AELF MainChain public node and tDVV dAppChain public node are available again for users, developers, and ecosystem partners.

Services you can use now

Several dApps and supporting services in the aelf ecosystem are available again. These include:

  • [aelfscan](https://aelfscan.io/): The blockchain explorer is back online for viewing blocks, transactions, and on-chain activity.
  • [FairyVault](https://fairyvault.com/): Wallet services have been restored, including normal transfers.
  • [Awaken](https://awaken.finance/): Trading is available again.
  • [Forest](https://eforest.finance/): NFT collection browsing is available.
  • [TMRW DAO](https://tmrwdao.com/network-dao/vote/election?chainId=AELF): The staking interface is back online. Users can check their staking details and claim any available rewards.

Staking rewards during the pause

We want to clarify what happened to staking rewards while block production was paused.

aelf stopped producing blocks for approximately one week. No network staking rewards were generated during that period. This applied equally to all staking participants across the network.

When reviewing your staking rewards, please take this period into account: the network did not generate rewards for that interval, so there are no rewards from that interval to claim. The restored TMRW DAO service allows you to check and claim the rewards currently available to your account.

We understand that the interruption also affected expected staking returns, and we apologise for this impact.

Exchange deposits and withdrawals

In our September 9 exchange update, we shared that some exchanges had deployed nodes under the updated setup and were synchronising data.

We continue to coordinate with exchanges on the gradual resumption of deposits and withdrawals, with safety as the priority. Availability may differ from one exchange to another. Please follow your exchange's official announcements and check that the relevant deposit or withdrawal service is enabled before using it.

Further updates and feedback

We welcome the community back to the restored services. If you run into an issue with a dApp, please report it in the project's official Telegram community or through its support channel, including which feature you used and what happened. Please refer to the project's official website or social accounts for the correct community and support links.

For network-related questions, you can also reach us through the official aelf X account.

We will continue to share progress through X and the aelf Blog. As outlined in our earlier update, a full post-incident review and technical appendix will follow once the investigation, recovery validation, credential remediation, permanent fixes, and independent review are complete.

Thank you for continuing to work with us as services return.
