Welcome to the July edition of the aelf Monthly Digest! Let's recap what went down in the past month: advancements in aelf’s technology, highlights ecosystem development, events, and Web3 industry insights.

Technology

1. aelf v1.10.0 Upgrade

We're making some exciting upgrades behind the scenes to boost the aelf infrastructure. It will be carried out on 6 August, 2024; some of the important changes include upgrading from .NET 6 to .NET 8, parallelising block assembly and system transaction generation, and adjusting the ExecutiveClearLimit value. These changes are expected to improve CPU utilization, reduce block production time, and improve cache hit rates in high concurrency request scenarios.

The upgrade is estimated to happen at the block height of around 224856341 on the MainChain and 212761104 on the SideChain, and it will be completed before 12 August 2024.

All the block producers and full nodes will be required to upgrade to the latest version or its mirror, once aelf v1.10.0 is released.

2. aelf Explorer

Back in June, we launched the new version of aelf Explorer. It contains new features such as a direct sending of transactions with the Portkey wallet, a NFT module, and more.

In July we further enhanced data access and analysis within the aelf ecosystem by introducing comprehensive reports, including TVL and market cap. These additions allow users to gain insights into the ecosystem's stability, vitality, and cost-efficiency through detailed reports on BP producers, contract calls, transaction fees, and more.

Technologically, the explorer was upgraded to .NET 8 and the latest ABP versions, resulting in improved system response speed and reduced resource consumption. Additionally, new monitoring tools, such as metrics and tracing, were implemented to enhance service telemetry and ensure system stability.

3. If You Haven't Already Done so, Check out Our Brand New Website and Developer Resource Center!

If we're billing aelf as the 'AI Blockchain of Tomorrow', it only behooves us to have a new and improved website that is befitting of that. It now boasts a more streamlined, user-friendly interface, with a revolving door of new, relevant content to complement it. We're also welcoming developers (and everyone, really!) to our new Developer Resource Center, which is rich in clearly laid out tools, guides, and documentation for developers interested in Web3 coding to start building on aelf.

Ecosystem

Partnership Alert: We've Joined Hands with ChainGPT!

With that, we're leveraging on ChainGPT's AI-powered infrastructure and tools to enhance aelf's AI blockchain infrastructure into an AI-driven one, starting with an integration of AI chatbots into our digital channels. Greater user-experience and a widened variety of developer tools are in store, as users can expect to get on-demand answers to queries, and developers get a smoother dApp building experience on aelf.

To give you a glimpse of what ChainGPT's AI chatbot is capable of, it is giving other chatbots in the blockchain space a run for their tokens with its advanced LLM model and suite of AI capabilities — it has even proven to outperform GPT-4o in auditing smart contracts with AI. In the integration journey, the AI chatbot was rigorously trained through a constant feedback loop, with ChainGPT's team refining the chatbot's responses based on recommendations from aelf.

New is Always Better: Project Schrodinger Launches New Website and Telegram Game Bot

Project Schrodinger has nifty upgrades in store with the launch of its Version 2.0 website. It sees a sleeker, easy-to-navigate homepage and beginner-friendly tutorials to help new users settle in to the Schrodinger ecosystem quickly. Real-time data on $SGR tokens and NFT trading volumes are readily available, and both holders and collectors can get up to speed on the most updated leaderboard rankings.

AeFinder

AeFinder completed multiple version upgrades in the July release. Here are the details:

Upgraded framework versions: ABP upgraded to v8.1.4 and Orleans upgraded to v8.1.0, improving overall performance and stability.
Released the AeFinder.App.TestBase package, making it easier for developers to write unit tests.
Optimised the AeFinder App log query and GraphQL Playground, making it easier for developers to query data and logs.
Optimised the AeFinder App data push and processing mechanism, enhancing data processing performance.
Released developer documentation, enabling developers to quickly develop and deploy the AeFinder App.

AetherLink

In July, AetherLink undertook the following major developments to enhance overall performance, all of which have been deployed on the Testnet:

Added TraceId to the contracts as an on-chain and off-chain index for oracle tasks.
Expanded the Datafeeds task type, PlainDataFeeds, to support the ability to record HTTP request results on-chain.
Enabled Automation CronJob capabilities to trigger target contract transactions at scheduled times.

AMAs: aelf Joins Panels to Speak a TON about AI, Blockchain, and Web3

It was our pleasure to be invited to three AMA sessions in July: Leveraging AI for Predictive Analytics in DeFi, Leveraging AI and Blockchain for Enhanced Gaming Experience, and Unlocking the Potential on the TON Ecosystem.
